CONSTRUCTION CHARITY
Supporting the Lighthouse Club
Our Managing Director Chris Sheehan is the Chairman of the Lighthouse Central Club. The charity provides emotional and financial support to the construction industry community and their families who have suffered injury or long-term illness. The charity does not receive any public funding and relies on the generosity of people within in the industry to continue its vital work. Mr Sheehan organises the charity’s annual golf day and supports its annual Christmas dinner, which is now a sell-out event every year.

EDUCATION
Working with local schools
Education is a key part of our values and in addition to providing regular training programmes for our team we support local schools in our community. We've previously sponsored a community programme with the Oxford City Stars ice hockey club and West Kidlington Primary School.
Members of the Sheehan Group team visited the school and taught children about the importance of recycling. Our Finance Director Tara Sheehan also wrote a children’s book about Captain Environtron to further educate pupils on the benefits of recycling. Copies of the book were also donated to various local school libraries.

LOCAL COMMUNITIES
Working with other local communities
The Sheehan Group contributed to the Jubilee Field Playground in Stanton Harcourt. The playground is now enjoyed by many children and their families.
We have also donated books to Stanton Harcourt Primary School Library to help encourage children to read. Members of our team were invited into the school’s assembly to receive drawings and a book made by pupils as a thank you.
The Sheehan Group understands the importance of team and community spirit and the health and well-being benefits it can bring and have supported several Oxfordshire based sports clubs. These include sponsoring Yarnton Football Club and Tower Hill Football Club’s kit, Marston Saints Football Club’s annual football tournament and Littlemore Rugby Club’s kit. We have also sponsored Oxford United Football Club. We sponsor Drayton Park Golf Club and also sponsor the Oxford Golf Club Captains’ Charity Day and have supported an Annual Golf Day for Sobell House.
