Frequently asked questions
We offer a range of skip sizes to suit all needs, from 3 yard skips for small clear-outs to large roll on off skips for commercial use or construction projects.
If you're unsure, feel free to contact us with details of your project. As a rough guide:
- 3 yard: Small home/ garage clearances
- 8 yard: Renovations and medium projects such as new patio.
- 10 yard: Large-scale clearances or commercial work such as office clearance.
You can dispose of general household and garden waste, wood, metal, plastic, bricks, rubble, and non-electrical fixtures.
The following items are not allowed in standard skips:
- Asbestos
- Electrical appliances (TVs, fridges, etc.)
- POP’s
- Paint, solvents, or chemicals
- Tyres
- Gas cylinders
- Plasterboard (check if separated)
- Clinical or hazardous waste
Let us know if you need to dispose of any restricted items — we may be able to help with specialist services.
If the skip is placed on private property, no permit is needed. If it needs to go on a public road or pavement, you’ll need a skip permit from your local council. We can help arrange this for you.
Our standard hire period is typically 14 days, but we’re flexible — let us know if you need it longer or for a short-term project.
Prices vary depending on the skip size, location, and duration. Contact us for a free, no-obligation quote.
Not necessarily, as long as we have clear instructions on where to place the skip. Please ensure the access is clear and there’s enough space.
We usually offer next-day delivery but same-day service may be available depending on or workload. Call us to find out 01865 379931.
We aim to recycle as much waste as possible — up to 90% — at our licensed waste transfer station. We’re committed to environmentally responsible waste management.
